The Shalom Organization works alongside trusted organizations that share our commitment to dignity, justice, and lasting change for vulnerable families.

About Us

Who is The Shalom Organization?

The Shalom Organization is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded on a deeply personal mission — to walk alongside vulnerable families and communities during some of life's most difficult moments. What began as a response to the challenges faced by NICU families has grown into a broad humanitarian effort serving refugees, asylum seekers, and families in crisis.

Guided by Christian values of compassion, dignity, and hope, we provide food assistance, housing support, education, humanitarian aid, and emotional care — because every person deserves to know they are not alone.

Our Partnership

Why we partner

No single organization can address the full complexity of human need. That is why The Shalom Organization intentionally builds partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to justice, dignity, and lasting change.

Through these relationships, we are able to extend our reach, strengthen our programs, and ensure that the families we serve receive holistic, coordinated support — from legal protection and spiritual care to practical resources and community belonging.

Global Partnership

WHRI-ORG and The Shalom Organization: Global Partnership for Human Rights, Protection, and Humanitarian Service

The World Human Rights International Organization (WHRI-ORG) and The Shalom Organization (TSO) stand together as collaborative partners in a global mission to promote human dignity, defend fundamental rights, support vulnerable communities, and provide humanitarian assistance to those facing persecution and hardship. Across different regions of the world, both organizations share a common vision of justice, compassion, peace, and equality. Through humanitarian programs, advocacy initiatives, and community-based support, TSO and WHRI-ORG work together to bring hope and assistance to individuals and families in need.

Shared Leadership and Vision

Both organizations are guided by the leadership of President Dr. Rabi Shan, whose commitment to humanitarian service has helped shape their shared mission and international vision. His leadership emphasizes unity, integrity, accountability, and dedication to serving humanity.

Supporting this mission is Rev. Shaleeza Saul, who serves as Executive Secretary of both The Shalom Organization and the World Human Rights International Organization. Rev. Saul contributes to international coordination, organizational communication, administrative development, and the effective implementation of humanitarian initiatives across different areas of operation.

Together, the leadership team works to strengthen the organizations' commitment to compassion, transparency, and responsible humanitarian service.

Equal Partnership and Global Collaboration

The partnership between TSO and WHRI-ORG is founded on equality, cooperation, and shared responsibility. Both organizations contribute their experience, networks, and resources to advance humanitarian objectives and protect the dignity of vulnerable populations.

Through joint efforts, they address critical challenges including persecution, displacement, poverty, social injustice, and humanitarian crises — working toward sustainable solutions that empower individuals and strengthen communities.

WHRI-ORG: International Platform of TSO

The World Human Rights International Organization (WHRI-ORG) serves as an international human rights and advocacy platform supporting the global initiatives of The Shalom Organization. Through WHRI-ORG's international framework, TSO's humanitarian vision is extended across borders.

WHRI-ORG supports programs focused on human rights protection, humanitarian assistance, and awareness initiatives while promoting ethical practices and respect for international human rights principles.

Project for Asylum Seekers and Protection of the Persecuted

A major initiative of this partnership is the WHRI-ORG Project for Asylum Seekers and Persecution Protection, designed to support individuals and families experiencing persecution, displacement, or serious humanitarian challenges. The project focuses on:

Legal Support and Guidance

Providing information, assistance, and referrals related to asylum processes and human rights protection.

Emergency Humanitarian Relief

Supporting vulnerable individuals with essential needs such as food assistance, temporary shelter, and medical support.

Resettlement and Integration

Helping displaced individuals connect with appropriate resources and services for safe and sustainable futures.

Advocacy and Awareness

Promoting awareness of human rights concerns and encouraging efforts that protect freedom, dignity, and equality.

Fundraising and Global Support

Sustainable humanitarian work depends on the generosity of supporters worldwide. TSO and WHRI-ORG engage in fundraising efforts, donor relations, community outreach, and partnerships to support humanitarian programs — including emergency assistance, human rights advocacy, education, and community development. Both organizations are committed to responsible stewardship, transparency, and accountability.

Legal Status and Organizational Commitment

The Shalom Organization (TSO) operates as a legally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to ethical governance, transparency, and accountability in all activities. Through responsible leadership and compliance with applicable requirements, TSO seeks to build trust among supporters, partners, and the communities it serves.
